*Many thanks to Gymboree for sending me the new clothing collection and sponsoring this post! As always, the thoughts and opinions expressed below are entirely my own.

We’ve been having the best time with the kids so far this holiday season! As they’ve gotten older, it’s been more and more fun to experience the joys of Christmas together– especially since they are fully aware of everything we’re doing and can participate! And one of my favorite things to do during the holidays is to dress my kids– there is nothing cuter than Holiday style for the littles this time of year! And I’ve been loving the really cute Fall/Winter collection from Gymboree.

A few months ago I told you guys about the major Gymboree style overhaul they did over the Summer, and I was really so impressed.  With my kids growing a mile a minute it’s hard to rationalize spending lots of money for clothes for them, but it’s hard normally to find clothes that don’t break the bank but feel and look well made.  My favorite thing about the new Gymboree is how well they strike this balance! I’m so in love with their collection for the holidays!

My kids get dirty every single day, and when I wash their Gymboree duds they come out spic and span.  I don’t feel like they’ll rip or tear from minor scuffs or falls, either. For the holiday season this is more important than ever! We’ve been going on tons of holiday adventures recently, and I love that they can really experience playing, hiking, baking, crafting, and everything between with full-fledged kid energy.  And I don’t worry about what’s going to happen to their clothes!

Recently we went to the local nursery to pick out some gifts for a few of our family friends.  I wanted to have Marlowe and Major choose wreaths, and then we could all decide on which bows to trim them with.  Now that they’re bigger, they can participate in the gifting of the season, too! I think pretty wreaths are such a great gift for a hostess, friend, or neighbor– since you can never have too many wreaths around the house this time of year, and the smell is so fabulous!

When we went to the nursery, I dressed them in my favorite Gymboree outfits from the holiday collection.  Marlowe wore the coziest thick leggings and a gorgeous festive sweater with gold lace up winter boots.  To be honest, I would have bought the sweater for myself if they made it in my size! I even got her a really adorable turban headband to wear.  I could barely handle her velvet Gymboree puffer jacket though…too much. Major’s outfit was killing me also.  He wore a really cute pair of blue pants, an orange plaid top, the fuzziest sherpa fleece jacket, and a blue little beanie.  All of a sudden, he looked five years old! I couldn’t believe it.

We had a really fun time at the nursery choosing our wreaths, and then it was so wonderful to teach them how to use the ribbons to decorate them.  Major’s was a little bit…novice…LOL. But it was cute anyway! It was really fun to give a little bit of holiday joy to our good friends and family that we worked on just the three of us.

    Hi Eva,

Great post! Your kiddos look so happy decorating those wreaths!

As for your question, my favourite thoughtful gift to give are journals or themed journals. I’m big on wellness and journalling is one of the best things you can do to combat the winter blues and reinforce positive thinking. This year, I got my mother-in-law a fitness journal, because she wants to get in shape. I also got my sister-in-law a travel journal, as she loves to travel and document things as she goes.

Eva, Marlowe and Major are so precious. I loved dressing my girls in Gymboree when they were that age. My husband and I love looking back on all of the fun things we did around the holidays when they were little. Time really does go by very fast.

Fav gift to give .. beautiful hands ! The elderly sometimes get overlooked and go to the assisted living facility where my father in law is and I give the ladies manicures … the sheer glee from a novice manicure gives me all the feels !
